Prison Ministry

We minister to the inmates within the Maricopa County Correctional System. The activities of the ministry are coordinated out of the offices of the Phoenix diocese.

The work of the ministry consists of providing regularly scheduled daily Eucharistic services and, as requested, one-on-one counseling at the jails within the county system. Volunteer time commitment usually amounts to 3-4 hours per visit, once or twice per month (more often or less as volunteer time permits). Training will be provided by the Diocese of Phoenix and through shadowing others.
