Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer Shawls are given to people in need of prayers and comfort owing to illness, grief and stress. We also make Prayer Shawls for friends and loved ones to celebrate a variety of life events, such as births, baptisms, marriages and birthdays.
We pray on our shawls as we are making them and, when a shawl is finished, the group gathers around and says prayers for the recipient.
Our members gather on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 10:00am-12:00pm in the Parish Hall to knit and crochet Prayer Shawls.
If you know someone who you would like to receive a Prayer Shawl, we have a supply of shawls available at no charge. If you would like to make a Prayer Shawl but don’t know how to knit or crochet, we would be happy to teach you!
