Jesus' Second Coming
by Fr. Jess Ty | 11/16/2025 | Weekly ReflectionDear Family of God,
This weekend Jesus is teaching how to be prepared for his Second Coming. How to be vigilant? Humble waiting for God must be our attitude by following his commandments.
According to Prophet Malachi: “All the proud and evildoers will be burned… but for you who fear my name, there will arise the Sun of Justice with its healing rays.”
The day is coming when they (the proud) will be reduced to nothing. Yet the righteous will be blessed, and God’s light will shine on them.
Two weeks before the end of our liturgical year, the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches: Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God. (CCC 675).
These things are happening in our time. We have to be vigilant by spending more time studying our faith and His Teachings, so we will recognize the false one and not be deceived by false prophets. Jesus said, “Do not follow them.”
May the Blessed Virgin Mary, our vigilant Mother of God, intercedes for us.
Yours in Christ through Mary Immaculate.
