Sacrament of Baptism

“Baptize first the children; and if they can speak for themselves, let them do so. Otherwise, let their parents or other relatives speak for them.”

St. Hippolytus of Rome (“The Apostolic Tradition,” 215 A.D.)

The best gift parents can give their child is the grace of Baptism!
No matter where you are in your faith journey, we welcome parents who desire to give this precious gift to their children. We want to understand any doubts or hesitations you may have. We desire to listen to you and support your desire as parents to give the very best to your children.

Baptism is more than a simple ceremony. Something beautiful happens in the soul of your precious child! They are filled with “sanctifying grace” (God’s own life in the soul) and the Holy Trinity comes to dwell in them….making them children of our loving God and Father! We believe that if everyone understood these gifts, everyone would desire to have their children baptized.

We hope this important decision to baptize your child will be either a continuation or the beginning of a life-long relationship with the family of God, the Church.
There is no fee for baptism. The grace of God is freely given to those who desire it.

Please fill out the following form and you will be contacted soon regarding your child’s baptism

Note: Catholic Godparents requirements and role:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Be a fully initiated Catholic (Baptized, Confirmed and receiving Holy Eucharist)
  • Not be the father or mother of the one to be baptized
  • A baptized person who belongs to a non-Catholic Christian community may be a sponsor only in company with a Catholic sponsor, and them simply as a witness to the baptism.
  • Only one male and one female Godparent. A Christian witness may be either male or female.

Godparents assist the parents in raising the child in the Catholic faith by being an example in living the faith and by supporting and encouraging the child to live out their faith in all aspects of life.

Godparents should provide a pastor signed and sealed letter from the parish at which they are registered stating they are a practicing Catholic in good standing and able to faithfully fulfill the role of godparent.
