Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the priest during the Masses year round. They are responsible for lighting candles, carrying the crucifix in processions, lighting and using the thurible, holding the Roman Missal for the celebrant, assisting the priest in the preparation of the altar, and other duties in order to ensure that the Mass flows smoothly.

Their prayerful and reverential attitude at Mass is helpful and establishes them as leaders among their peers and as examples for the faithful. This stewardship role is open to both boys and girls who have received the Sacraments of Baptism, 1st Holy Communion and Confirmation. Formation is provided.
