Humility is a funny thing. It really does a have a funny way of finding us. After all, by all accounts, our parish mission was a tremendous success. The church was packed. People went to confession for the first time in years. Laughter and praise filled our campus. And a few of you kind souls even sought me out to thank me for the article encouraging you to go. This past week, I blew a tire on Pima and Lone Mountain. With a commute totaling about 70 miles each workday, this isn’t uncommon and I know what to do. I got off the road as far as possible and removed my spare tire and jack from the trunk. Unfortunately, a crucial part of the jack was missing. I calledseveral coworkers, but I am the first one in each morning, so no one was close.
