Follow Wherever He Leads

I firmly believe we all need healing from wounds that only Jesus can mend. I’m not saying you should be incapacitated because your pet goldfish died when you were ten, but we all learned more than anyone realized at a pretty young age.

Put Others Before Yourself

In Mark 10, James and John pull Jesus aside and do something that could be construed as a bit shady: they ask Jesus to do whatever they ask. This is like a younger brother coming to an older brother and saying, “I need you to agree to something.” The older brother asks, “What do you need?” “I just need you to agree before I tell you.”

Should I Stay or Leave the Catholic Church?

I recently saw an article called, “Should I Stay or Leave the Catholic Church?”

The Church is older than your age. Why would I say this? It is only when we fall into the relativistic culture of our time that we mistakenly believe that this is as bad as it has ever been. As if "our experience" during our years on earth is the only perspective.

Being Catholic is Hard Work

Hey. I get it. Being Catholic is hard work. Most churches don’t ask their members to believe God wants to turn bread and wine into His Body and Blood. Most churches no longer teach that true faith cannot be separated from actions that reveal the faith. Most churches don’t have two thousand years of history to be both proud and ashamed of. Most churches see guilt as a bad thing, instead of the natural consequence of sin. Most churches have decided divorce is unfortunate but acceptable. (Please read more on this at the end.)
