Monday, April 30th marks eight years being married to Maryrose Hall, the most magnificent woman I’ve ever known. When I proposed, and she said yes, we couldn’t have foreseen all of the tremendous challenges that we would have to face in our first 2,920 days of marriage.READ MORE

Confidence. We’ve all known people who try so hard to appear confident, yet people see right through it. If we are honest, most of us have been people who try so hard to appear confident, yet people seem to see right through it. This is true in few areas of our lives more so than in our willingness to share our Faith.

A Divided Land

I don’t know about you, but in my view, the world has quickly devolved into a divided land, rife with accusation, anger, and assumption. Are you Catholic? You must be okay with holding back women because Catholics don’t let women be priests! Are you pro-life? You must think you can push your beliefs on me! Do you support the second amendment? You must be okay with school shootings! Do you believe genders are real and play a role in who we are? You must be filled with hate because we should just let anyone be whoever they want to be and do whatever they want to do!

Members of our worldwide Catholic Church have made grave and scandalous decisions throughout our history, but God has raised saints to counter them every single time. He has not let His Church fall and has kept His promise to be with the Church until the end.

What have those saints done? They have fed the hungry, welcomed the stranger, comforted the sick, counseled the doubtful, and comforted the afflicted. This “faith in action” draws so many to our beautiful Faith.

What Are You Afraid Of?

What are you afraid of? Think long and hard on that question. Stock market crash? Terrorist attack? Your country losing its way? Snakes? Death?

Easter is the perfect time to ask why any of those things are worth your fear... If the stock market crashes, your standard of living might change, but your standing in relation to eternal life doesn’t.

If a terrorist attack occurs (on a large or small scale), there will be two possible outcomes: suffering or death. We will get back to death, but suffering is something our society increasingly sees as without value or merit.
