Proving the historical reality of Jesus

Some people falsely see Jesus as a fictional character. They choose to believe He was "written" to instruct us in the proper way to live and love. After all, the Catholic Church teaches that other parts of the Bible were inspired, but fictional stories, right?

This is true, but let's dig a bit deeper into what the Church knows to be true about the Bible (since they were the ones to compile it and all… ).

Fun Fact #1: John the Baptist had disciples! Don’t believe me? Give this Sunday’s Gospel a closer listen. In the first chapter of John, beginning at verse 35, “John was standing with two of his disciples, and as he watched Jesus walk by, he said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God.’ The two disciples heard what he said and followed Jesus.”

Getting back to Confession

So we've begun another calendar year and we are beginning books instead of watching Judge Judy. We are spending less time on social media and more time engaged in actual human interaction. We are going to the gym and taking walks instead of eating another donut with extra sprinkles.

...until about February.

Come on David! Judge Judy tells it like it is, Facebook is where I get my news, and God wouldn't have every church serve donuts if He didn't want us to eat them!
