The Rosary is a Weapon (Part Two)

Our Lady made 15 promises to St. Dominic and again to Blessed Alan de la Roche for those who devoutly recite the Holy Rosary. I won't list them all here given the limited space but I do want to look at two more and make some comments onthem. A full list of the 15 promises can be found with a simple internet search. Those who shall recite my Rosary devoutly, meditating on its mysteries, shall not be overwhelmed by misfortune. The sinner shall be converted; the just shall grow in grace and become worthy of eternal life.

Notice it does not say "There will be no misfortune", but rather "shall not be overwhelmed by misfortune." This goes back to the 1st promise. Our Lady will secure for us many graces to overcome great difficulties. Are you a sinner? Pray the rosary! Are you a Saint? Pray the Rosary! Its a prayer for everyone, not just for a handful of parishioners after weekday Mass.

Those who recite my Rosary faithfully are all my beloved children, the brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ. Revelation 12:17 reads: "And the dragon was angry against the woman [Mary]: and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep thecommandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." If you keep the Commandments of God and recite Our lady's Rosary, then you are her child and she is your mother. This also means that Satan will be making war against you (he has already conquered those who do not follow the commandments of God, so why wage war against them, they are his already!). The Rosary isthe sword that slaughters the dragon. Will you take up the sword and enter the battle?
